"I don't even like the forest"

Waking up in the morning and drinking my morning coffee, a brisk morning full of clouds.... thinking of the previous days conversation and having a smirk on my face....

Brenda- Hi Ethan Just checking in with you, I saw the weather for tomorrow...looks like the same temp as today, but there won't be sun. As it seems, it will be cloudy. Would it be too much to ask if we could play by ear...don't want gloomy looking pics. I love the sunlight in your pics. I'm planning on being there, but just wanted to know if we could take the weather into consideration. What do you think?

*smiling ear to ear*

Me- That's fine, but I promise you. the cloudier the better. Its a photographers dream to have that all the time ;)

Brenda- OH! ok...even better. Sounds good to me. We'll be there, unless it snows or rains.

Me- haha it will be a good day for photos ;)

Since getting back from Florida I've been on the hunt, to get my name out there that I am BACK in action with photo shoots of essentially anything. New borns, infants, graduates, families, and even weddings. I'll take pictures of your toys for crying out loud! and after a good solid three weeks of promoting, someone decided to take the plunge, trust what I can do and allow me to deliver.

Brenda's family I knew little about (which soon changed) but they welcomed me into the family with the sweetest of smiles. One by one the kids and teen (or tween.... is that even a word?) came out of the car a little nervous, but ready to go none the less.

the kids were all home schooled by their talented mother and raised by both the mother and father. Excited with posters, multiple outfits and eager smiles. the most remembered quote of the day.....

"I don't even like the forest" coming from the 8th grade graduate, Celeste. But for a city family, you all photograph really well out here ;)

and the mother claims "this is her first 'real' photoshoot"

I beg to differ. and that goes for the WHOLE family.

love you all and cheers to the mother of all clouds!

Summer fun and getting the name out there

With the Summer finally here and the weather heating up to a moderate Florida temperature (is it weird I compare all the weather to Florida now) I'm ready to finally buckle down with family projects around the house, serving at my old job (hopefully) and getting my name out there on a serious level for my photography!

So what better way then to compromise with my nieces and nephews.......

or else....

and just like that we have some models to kick start the Summer ;D

(Thanks Erica for the models ;) we worked for those pictures lol)

and even after all the fun in the sun I was able to also catch a graduation photo shoot for a a student teacher/friend whose just about to start their journey into the real world.

Waking Up

After a week of hibernating, sleeping, eating endless amounts of food because what I like to call the

"The mother syndrome"

where some if not all mothers feel inclined to take care of you until they feel they've made up for the for the amount of time you were away from them (in my case 9 months) and it's nice at first....

until you realize you've gained 6 pounds in a week and realized you REALLY need to workout again...but it was refreshing while it lasted, but passed all the food and hugs and kisses is a great weekend for me to come back

why?

because it just so happens that my day of arrival was just before Mothers day <3 an excuse to see the whole family I missed for so long. And after the realization of being home, I knew I would quickly need my "Disney fix" before allowing my post "Disney depression" settle in

Me- "there's cinnabon"
Marta- *looking in the distance* "Oh I want Yogen Fruz"
Me- "wait I want that too...."

after finishing 9$ worth of frozen yogurt...

Me- "I still kinda want cinnabon"
Marta- "get it, its good for you"
Me- "fine.... but your not helping my disney depression anymore...... o_O"

Clearly we have our priorities straight. and this is why I love my princess friend Marta :)
