Swedish House Mafia @ the Masqurerade Motel

Life moves fast. Its inevitable that we as human beings are going to get older. No matter where we look or how much research we do to prolong our life, it's going to keep trucking along.

After coming to this realization I made the choice to live a life full of adventure surrounding myself with people I care a lot about whether I've known them for years or just met them today.

Swedish House Mafias #onelasttour enforced this element of time in my head. Where time actually slowed down for a brief moment and I was able to look back on my life and see that I've accomplished a lot thus far, but in contrast to that I've barely scratched the surface to my potential.

The friends we meet, the adventures we get into, the memories we create and the music we dance to is what makes life worth living and man do I love living :D

Thank you Swedish House Mafia for an amazing night!!!!

Next Stop ULTRA!!!!!

Sound, Color, and a Mad Tea Party

Me- "wait what!? THIS is Down Town Disney?" *500ft later*

Clearly I was the only crazy 21 year old stoked about coming to Disneyland, but that's okay  especially when some "magical" beats comes on..... something soundsational

♪ It's a music celebration
Come on, come on, come on
Strike up the band,
Feel the beat, what a great sensation
Come on, come on, come on
Move and clap your hands,
Get into spirit
Let everyone hear it,
So come on, come on
Whoa, whoa - hey, hey, hey
Whoa, whoa - hey, hey! ♪

it was magical..... the parade, the detail, the beautiful princesses, dancers, and performers. I loved everything about the soundsational parade and I fell in love with it, BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE

After making a little post on facebook with some friends about going to Disneyland for the first time I was suggested to watch World of Color. So after Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted Mansion, we made our way to world of color to meet my friend Jaysen (who I stumbled upon prior to the parade!) and lets just say.....

Even after the music and color, Lexy and I agreed to make our way out of Disney to continue our journey to Los Angeles for Swedish House Mafia the next day, but with a little detour through Cars land I found myself somewhere "Epic"

and thats when I heard the song Epic by Quintino play... as the lights were flashing and the entrance was inviting.... as if I was falling down the rabbit hole on a new adventure.... I knew what I was getting myself into... and I welcomed the mad tea party with all my heart.

Senses is what allows one to enjoy their life in one way or another we allow them to set the mood, scene, and environment. and lets just say, Disneyland touched all my senses last night.

I love life. and I am ready for tonight. Thank you Disneyland for showing me a good time... and I am ready.

Swedish House Mafia, here.we.come.

Follow the Duck

When I first got to Disney for this internship over 6 months ago I....

  • Made tons of friends
  • Went to the parks all the time
  • Had a strong dislike for my bed and its comfort
  • Went out a lot
  • Took tons of pictures
But ultimately became content with my self, my living standards and my life......

DON'T get me wrong its still a lot of fun and memorable and all that jazz but I came to realize something after coming across some ducks... literally.

Now at first you're probably thinking "Ethan, they're ducks, your having a life moment with ducks?" but hear me out!!

I found myself following the leader. Everyone did the same thing as the person in front of them would follow in the same footsteps by falling into the "Disney Bubble". Isolating themselves from the rest of the world whether it be family, friends or even the news and Disney has a way of taking advantage of its cast members when that occurs.  I BECAME CONTENT WITH MY TWIN SIZE PLASTIC BED FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

So what do I do? after working constantly, eating (literally), sleeping and thinking Disney, I realized I was starting to crack from how tired I was. No matter how much sleep I had, knowing I was going back to Disney for either work or playtime; I was tired and realized I needed to get away.

and that's exactly what I did! with this (relatively) planned trip, I made my way to California for a few days to witness a life changing event with Swedish House Mafia.

YES I said Cali... spontaneous much? OH and lets talk about how I trusted some random strangers to pick me up from the airport, give me a ride to in-n-out after they bought one of my extra tickets, and plan to meet up with at the masquerade motel for Swedish House Mafia whom I met on facebook & are turning out to be pretty awesome people...

am I crazy? Well I work for Disney World
