Baloo and the Bare necessities

  Look for the bare necessities
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
 I mean the bare necessities
 Are Mother Nature's recipes
That bring the bare necessities of life

Its pretty amazing how something as simple as a song can really can brighten a day and show your true character in life

From new adventures with blue bears, crazy monkeys and hyper puppies to shenanigans in different countries, the Disney College Program keeps getting better and better because in the end, the program is what YOU make of it and I'm making the best of the days around me :)

p.s.  Baloo LOVES back rubs.... just sayin ;-)

Goofy & "Honest" John Worthington Foulfellow

Behind all the fun and games of park hopping and photo adventures is work, but before I can fully work all the time for the Walt Disney Company, I had to get trained in Entertainment.

The training process was 4 days of rules, policies, procedures, secrets, pixie dust, and magic with the help from my amazing trainers. I met some of the most energetic and"goofiest" cast members who assisted me in learning the whole process of becoming an entertainer for children of all ages, and let me tell you something!

I'm in love.

I love the idea of making anyone laugh, smile, feel loved and adored in doing little things like recognizing a birthday, anniversary, or first visit to the parks to make that one person feel special in they're own way.

After getting the opportunity to personally meet one of the legends to the Disney Company I am proud to say that I am now friends with one of the coolest and "goofiest" cast members of them all!

Goofy!!

Goofy was able to show me the secrets to making children laugh, from telling stories and jokes to just allowing yourself to be yourself and have fun while showing everyone around you a good time and I am SO grateful that the Goof himself taught me so much during a few days of training! Hoping he doesn't forget about me as he is SO busy, I think I'll be working with him a lot during this College Program.

Following my days of training with my goofball for a friend, I had to switch gears a tad bit in meeting someone else throughout my training. As sly, mischievous, and cunning as he may be, I put my guard up and I saw him for what he was. A fox, but not just any fox, this trickster of a fox was none other than

"Honest" John Worthington Foulfellow

A devious fox that has a way with words and gestures in his "smooth" walking/welcoming self.

Mr. Foulfellow is notorious for luring Pinocchio to Pleasure Island, where no rules exist and little boys are transformed into Donkeys to be sold to the highest bidder! But when meeting "Honest" John you can see that he is not as smooth as one may think. If it wasn't for the help character attendants and the parents watching over they're kids Foulfellow would have a field day, but in any case "Honest" John is as gentle as a mouse only in the parks to gain the approval of the masses because you NEVER know when he may be up to some no good ;-)

and on that note, here's some pics from "work" and the continued life of a CP  ;-)

"It's a small world"

Yes,

we all know the song, the ride and the repetitiveness of this.... unique.... creation of music, but I happen to use the word a lot, why? because it's SO true.In this tiny world, we can find ourselves all connected through the grapevine in sometimes crazy cool situations, and sometimes really crazy "did this really just happen" situations.

here let me explain:

after receiving our awesome-super cool-fantastic-amazing-o.m.g. blue main gate cards to get into the parks, what do we do? we go to sleep, (YEA RIGHT) nooooo, we fly to the parks to hangout and celebrate our official cast member step to the Disney College Program in the parks!

after making our way to Epcot, and Magic Kingdom for the night we found our selves getting extremely tired, sweaty, hungry, and did I mention sweaty? we NOW wait for the next and final destination bus towards home from downtown Disney...

while waiting, we saw birthday children walking by, guests, and cast members leaving for home.... and that's when it happened.... a tall manager walking by with a blue dress shirt, very professional and a football build walked up to our bus stop and I just about cried

Me- "NO WAY"
Manager- "Ethan!?"
Me- *running towards him and jumping on him with the biggest bear hug ever*
Me- "NICK I CAN'T BELIVE THIS"
Nick-"*very professional* I missed you too Ethan!!"

Long story short, I found my old roommate from first program, Nick Downey. It's been 2 YEARS since I last saw him and what's he up to now? running a section of Downtown Disney since he graduated from school on a professional internship!

not only do I have to congratulate this awesome guy, but what were the chances of me stumbling on my old roommate who was the "dad" of our apartment my first time around??

But it doesn't end there, within the first couple days of photo/park adventures, I found my self being followed by a green army man who knew me and Flynn Ryder personally and lastly I was able to give Marry Poppins a hug after not seeing her for a whole year!

weirdest part about all of this? NONE of it was planned... I just stumbled upon all of them, and you know something?

"It's a small world" & I'm definitely okay with this! ;)

Here's a few from the shenanigans of my Disney College Program thus far!!
